What it does
Single-ply PVC waterproofing. Seams are hot-air welded — no open flame.
Why it matters
The membrane takes wind, UV, temperature and standing water. Watertightness is decided at seams and details, not in the field.
Common errors
- Seams not probed / peel-tested
- Laps too narrow
- Non-system detail components
- Membrane laid parallel to deck ribs in standard overlap fixing

What it does
Massive structural base. The membrane is anchored with fasteners that must sit in solid concrete.
Why it matters
Screeds and intermediate layers are not a fixing base — fasteners must pass through them into the concrete.
Common errors
- Fasteners anchored only in screed
- No pull-out test on refurbishment
- No falls towards outlets
